About the studio
Operating since 2021, Inner City Art Studio is situated in the centre of Wellington, New Zealand, surrounded by contemporary art and craft, with the City Gallery a two minute walk away.
Inner City Art Studio focuses on the technical skill in art making, with classes in ceramics, sculpture, glass casting, waxes for bronze casting, selected painting classes, and drawing.
Children’s classes are offered after school and during school holidays. Adult classes are offered on selected evenings and weekends.
Private tuition is available by request.
About your tutor
Iréna has been studying and practicing art for over 20 years.
She holds a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from Monash University, has exhibited in Australia, Thailand, and New Zealand, and has taught and tutored for over 10 years. She has worked in film at Weta Workshop and Stone Street Studios, and numerous art institutions including the City Gallery Wellington.
Irena has experience in teaching children with neurodiversity, and can taylor private tuition programs to best fit a child’s needs and learning styles.
